Sunday Musings (before the August heat melts my brain)

Well, its supposed to hit 100 degrees today. It was supposed it hit 100 degrees for the past few days.... and didn't. But, it sure felt like it. Outside potted plants have needed water daily, or by noon they look pretty wilted. The laundry dries quicker on the line than in the dryer, so that saves a bit of $$. Anyway, its August in Texas, and this is what August in Texas is.... hot. Hey Al, you maroon! Its not global warming!!! Its August!!!!

In looking at my emails, I see that Tom Tancredo has come in 4th in the Iowa straw poll. Not bad. Maybe that will get the RNC's attention.

Iowa Straw Poll results

31% Romney
18.1% Huckabee
15.3% Brownback
13.7% Tancredo
9.1% Ron Paul
7.3 Tommy Thompson
1.6% Fred Thompson
1.3% Giuliani
1.2% Hunter
.7% McCain

Apparently Obama thinks Iowa farmers should grow arugula. Rightie -o, oh wise businessman Obama. The price of corn has never been higher, so of course, corn farmers should switch to arugula. And this guy wants to be in charge of our economy? Yikes!!! And don't even get me started on who it is that picks argula, instead of the low skilled Americans who cannot find jobs anymore.

Had you heard that one of the suspects in the execution-style murder of three college students in New Jersey is an illegal alien from Peru? No, I didn't think you had heard that.

According to the only article I've found that mentions that telling bit of information, the "victims' relatives questioned why the illegal immigrant from Peru had been granted bail this year on assault and child rape charges."

Yep, this whole open borders thing is working out well for American citizens.

Well, that's all I have time (and patience) for right now. We have to move the cows this morning before it gets too hot.

Happy Sunday!

Note to Big White Hat: Thanx so much for the sweet welcome back to blogging note. It's good to be back!

Cowgirl out.
