Kudos to Farmers Branch City Council

Monday night, the Farmers Branch City Council, took the first steps to take back their city from illegal aliens by voting unanimously on the following items:

Require city officials to conduct nearly all official business in English.

Prohibit landlords from renting apartments to people who cannot prove their citizenship or legal status.

Have city police enter into a cooperative agreement with federal immigration officials to target "criminal aliens."

LULAC and the ACLU are threatening lawsuits over the Council's actions. Those groups, who have thus far been able to bully other towns to prevent adoption of what basically are provisions to enforce existing law, were infuriated that Farmers Branch ignored their threats.

It's nice to know there are some towns who want to remain American, and insist that federal, state and local laws be enforced. If only the United States Congress had the testosterone to act as forthrightly as the little City Council of Farmers Branch, Texas.

Here's the thing, if we depend on the Federal government to defend our country from the invasion of over one million people each year, which people have no interest in assimilating into our society, we will wake up one day, to find out that we have lost our country without a shot being fired. It's time we get actively involved at the local level, and demand that our laws be enforced. If we don't, our great nation will be relegated to third world country status within one generation. It's just that simple.
