Same old, same old

Well, once again, we are being treated to non-stop nonsense from the Demented Democrats this election season.  If only I thought it would be over in a week and a half.  However, based on the DD's track record, Election Day will be the day the elections themselves are challenged, with accusations flying freely, and months more of boring and bogus news headlines.

The DD's, as best I can tell, are traveling along a parallel plane, never intersecting with those of us traveling the plane called "Reality."  Frankly, I cannot understand the DD's hatred of our country, their scorn of our values, and their derision of our way of life.  And, I am tired of their nonsense.

I will vote today.  On Election Day, I will not watch tv or listen to the radio.  I will take that day to enjoy my life and my family, and thank God for all the blessings in my life, including living in an amazing country which I hope to pass on to the next generation in some recognizable form.

To Vote or Not to Vote.......That shouldn't even be an issue!!

Over the past several weeks, and, at least on the blogs, over the past months, there have been raging debates over whether the conservative voters should boycott this election.

Okay, I can see how one might flirt with that.  However, it is our fault for not supporting conservatives in the primary elections.  That is where we are supposed to choose our candidates.  Next time, maybe we will remember that, but there is too much at stake to allow the demented Dems to prevail in the upcoming election.

We are at a critical point in history.  We are in a world war against a group of people from all parts of the world who want our society destroyed and all of us dead.  That's pretty serious to me.  The DD's (demented Dems) would have us, the mightiest nation that has ever existed on the face of the earth, to cower and cut and run from this fight.  The DD's do not understand that basic fact:  the bad guys want us dead; talking to them will not help.  Even if it is just on this issue alone, having the DD's in control is simply unacceptable.

Our economy is stronger than it has ever been.  We have more money in our pockets on April 15th due to the Bush tax cuts.  What is to complain about there?

There is still work to be done to replace retiring liberal Constitution-bashing judges with conservative judges who understand that the Constitution is not a document whose interpretation fluctuates over time.  The Constitution means what it means.

I, for one, do not want my country to be anything except the biggest, baddest bear in the valley.  I have no shame in that, and much prefer to live in the world's only superpower than in some third world country.

I do not want to work hard and be forced to pay exhorbitant taxes to pay for social services for those who choose not to work, or even worse, for illegal invaders, who ignore our laws unless there is a buck in it for them.

I do not want my health care determined by some inefficient governmental bureaucracy.

I do not want my choices for my children's education to be determined by the government.

I do not want my freedom of religion to be curtailed by a politically correct bunch of kooks who think that Christianity is as bad as being the world's only superpower.

I do not want the corrupt powers in the United Nations to make decisions infringing on the national sovereignty of my country.

So, I will vote in this election.  While the Republicans may have disappointed me in several areas, the alternative is completely unacceptable.  Remember the old saying, "Jumping out of the frying pan, into the fire.."

Hold your nose and go vote.  Then make a note to self:  Get involved in the next primary election!!
